All looks great! He's 3 lbs, 13 oz and in the 40th percentile. Still a boy and has "lots of hair."
Because high bp can cause the placenta to break down early and baby to not get all the nutrients/oxygen, they will re-check in a few weeks and want to see him still at the 40th percentile. If he drops down for some reason, it is a sign the placenta is starting to fail and they will need to get him out sooner. Plus I'll be starting weekly non-stress tests and amniotic fluid checks. Lots of doc visits to come, but it is nice to have the close monitoring.
Re: update from growth u/s
It is kinda a long story....I've had white coat syndrome in the doc office for about 10 years, so they would always test and then re-test at the OB. Some of the first readings were really high--like 150/100 and then it would drop down into 130/80 range and I'd monitor at home and it'd be fine. They put me on meds when it only dropped to around 139/92 for my second reading. Now it is great!
I was having spots in my vision (like fireflies) for very brief periods too. It only happened a few times and nothing since the meds. My leg cramps while sleeping went away too. Probably just a nice side effect! : )
