I'm stocking up for when I go back to work and am having a hard time deciding between 2, 3, and 4 ounce increments. Thoughts? (I wish I could make this clicky, but google chrome won't let me)
I generally do two ounces ,but I have done a few bottles of 4 oz, but that is only b/c I have a stash built and what I pump now won't be used for a few weeks when ds will eat more.
DD eats about 2-3 oz per feeding, so I usually put about 3-4 oz in a bottle when DH feeds her in the evenings. I have been freezing in 4 oz increments. That was recommended to me by my LC.
I pump about 4 to 5 oz a bag because shes not drinking more than that and you don't want any to go to waste. She's a 4 oz drinker usaually and left over I put into a formula bottle to help with digestion.
I fill up the 6 oz bags. DS usually drinks 4 oz. We thaw in the fridge and then DH just pours 4 oz into a bottle and heats that up. The remainder of the freezer bag goes back into the fridge for the next feed.
