Diabetes and BF

I have type 1 diabetes and I EP for DS.  I check my sugar before I pump and I always dump if my sugar is over 130.  Is anyone else doing the same thing?  How high will you let your blood sugar get before deciding to not feed LO BM?  I cannot get a straight answer from my docs because they say there hasn't been any studies done.

I have no advice, but have you ever spoken to a LLL leader about this? They might be able to help. Mine was 1000 times more knowledgeable about my BF issues than the LC I paid to help me.

Good idea.  I'll try there.  I'm surprised about the lack of information out there about this issue!

I know! You'd think they would have done studies on it, but I would imagine they tell most diabetic mothers to use formula.
