Pregnant after a Loss

Movement ?

So I called my doc's office this morning because it seemed like the overall amount of movement over the past few days has been less. I have done kick counts and she will pass but I still felt concerned about the overall amt.

So the nurse finally calls me back and bascially just tries to blow me off and tells me it's fine if I felt some movement. I was really pissed because I thought they always tell you to call if you feel concerned and she just made me feel stupid.

She finally said I could could come in later in the afternoon and see the nurse practitioner, so I agreed. It sounded like they were just going to check the HB which I thought couldn't really tell them much? It's my understanding that pretty much any time you are concerned about movement you get a NST? Should I ask for one? WWYD? I feel like I need to complain about the rude nurse too.

Not only this but I have been concerned about being to small so now I'm worried if the amount of fluid is ok, etc.

Re: Movement ?

  • I'm sorry they made you feel stupid. I'm not sure about the NST. Keep us posted!

  • I would ask to speak to the dr. or be able to come in and see the dr. I had this same thing happen a few weeks ago and the dr. said that a lot of times LO is moving, you just can't feel it for some reason, but that he likes to do a NST anyway.

I was feeling some movement, but apparently not enough when I went in for my NST with DS at around 37-38 weeks.  The Dr. tested me in the morning, told me to get some lunch, and then tested me again in the afternoon.  He also did an ultrasound.  They took it very seriously.  I think you should press them for some reassurance.  I was induced a little more than 24 hours later.
