Pregnant after a Loss

pain on one side

Last night I started getting pain on my left side (around where a fallopian tube would be).  Then this morning I started getting a sharp pain under my left ribs.  Is this a sign of ectopic pregnancy or could this just be gas?  I called my doc's office this morning and haven't heard back yet.

Re: pain on one side

  • It could be just gas. I hope your doctor calls you soon. Have you had betas drawn?

  • No, I haven't been in at all yet.  My first appt. is scheduled for Aug. 4
  • I had an e/p back in November. If you are having this pain, try to get in for beta's. I will pray for you that it's just gas!

  • I get sharp gas pains in my ribs from time to time. No fun!

And I wouldn't worry about the side pain unless it gets severe, as in, you're doubled over in pain. (Then again, I've never had an e/p.) It could just be your uterus starting to stretch.

I had an ectopic on the left side and never felt any pain. Now that I'm pg again I have all sorts of pains on each side. My dr said as long as there is no spotting or if the pain is not constant then he wouldn't worry it is probably just my uterus stretching. I would still wait for your dr just to be safe.
