Pregnant after a Loss

Follow up to clicky poll...

So, I called to try and change my 2nd u/s from this Friday to next Tuesday.  I wanted to do Monday, but DH is working 1st shift and won?t be available to come with.  The scheduler said I could come in at 8:00 Tuesday for the u/s, but I?d have to come back at 1:30 to talk with my OB (she has a surgery in the morning).  I could go by myself on next Monday, but I really want DH to be there.  With my first pregnancy I was by myself when I found out the bad news at my first u/s.  It sucked!    Ugh!  So, I?m keeping my appointment for this Friday and I hope it?s not too early to see the HB.  If baby is doing well, I?ll be 6w3d for the appointment.

  • I'm sure it'll be okay at 6w3d.  I saw the h/b at 6 weeks exactly.  Good luck!
  • Hi Peetie! I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you. Hang in there. Have you had anymore spotting? I totally understand where you are coming from re:US.  I'm sure you will be able to see HB by then, esp bc you know how far you will be and you won't have to question "did I O later than I thought" again this time. Would they do any more HCG's just to see where your levels are at? I know there is a certain # where HB/fetus should be visible, however I was an exception to that rule with DD.  My HCG was over 10,000 and all they saw was an empty sac. When they finally did find a HB I was measuring 6w2d, which was def behind where I thought I was by almost a week! And I did have spotting in the 5th and 6th week, like brown CM, esp with BM (sorry, TMI) . The way they measured/dated me in the beginning was all over the place. So, my point is, despite all of the madness, everything can still be OK. DD is living proof of that, they TOLD me I MC, and, well, they were wrong! I will be thinking of you and will say a prayer for you so you get through this week. (((HUGS)))

I had just a bit of brown spotting up until Friday.  I haven't really seen any since.  I asked if they would do more BWand my OB said no, but that she wanted to see me this week for the follow up ultrasound.  I just didn't want to go in this Friday and still have to wait another week to see the HB.  Thanks for thinking of me buddy!
