Are Robeez really worth it?

I think they are SOOOO cute, but I'm just wondering if they're worth it.  Do you put your LO in shoes often enough to justify spending $$ for them?  I usually let DS go barefoot (he doesn't really need shoes yet as he's not walking).

I know Target has knock-offs, but are they cute, durable, etc?  Thanks!! Smile

Re: Are Robeez really worth it?

  • As of right now DD goes barefoot unless it's chilly or rainy out. I like them because it's the only shoe that fits her short, fat feet lol. Normal shoes do not fit her.

  • They are the only shoe that he won't take off. I get them at the Stride Rite outlet we have so I am not paying full price. It is the only way I can justify it to the hubs.

  • The Target knock offs lasted a week and a half for DD at daycare, the "leather" rubbed off and they started to fall apart.... and those were about $12.  She needed more of a bottom for going outside at daycare. She doesn't wear them much because I found pedipeds for $16 and she wears those things every single day. I personally love the pedipeds for "new walkers" and MIL recently got her some stride rites now that stay on well and are great for a walker as well.
  • We have a pair of knockoffs from Walmart which I imagine is about as durable as the Target ones. They work for us because I SAHM and don't use them that often. They were a must have item however for us because DD could not walk in the hard shoes at first and would refuse to try and sit down.

  • I love them. They are really durable and fit my kids' fat baby feet the best. They also stay on really well, and are so cute. This post just reminded me that I have to order a pair for DS....can't wait to see what I'll find!
  • I think they are worth it - they are very durable, are the only shoes that stay on her feet and fit her for a very long time.  She's still able to wear her 0-6 pair!  You can usually find discontinued styles on sale at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or at a ton of places online.
