Pregnant after a Loss

Ibis, I have a paint question for you : )

I'm not sure if it will happen this year or next year, but we were thinking of repainting our house because the southside is starting to peel and flake due to all the weather it sees.  I was wondering if you have any suggestions.  We will be painting all the trim white white (right now it's a cream/linen color, not sure if the pic shows true to color) since we put in new white windows.  Originally I was thinking a green or gray blue, but I was hoping you might have a professional opinion/suggestion or 2 for me ; )

Cute house! I think a grayish green or grayish blue would be nice... it looks like the brickwork is a warm gray? I would pick a cool, muted color that stands out but doesn't totally overwhelm the brick colors... try a few different swatches before you decide, and paint them next to the bricks so you can see how they'll work together.

  • Thanks!  I'm glad I was leaning towards the right colors!  The brick has warm grays and tans in it.  I like the gray blue idea, but our neighbors house is less muted shade of blue and I didn't want it to look funny next to eachother.  I appreciate the advice!  How are you feeling?
  • I agree, also check out hgtv.com or something with some examples, I would go a little more of a color that also compliments the brick that would make the trim and brick pop, basically what you are thinking but make sure it is blue/gray not just too gray....just my advice, but color swatches on the wood before you paint will give you the best idea!
