~~2nd Trimester Check In~~
Hi Ladies - This is our weekly check-in for SAL ladies in their 2nd trimester! Please check your info, and let me know if anything needs to be changed. QOTD: We would like 3 or 4 children (this is our first!) I have 1 other brother and DH has 2 older sisters....I think we both have always wanted a big family!
QOTD: I think 2 in addition to Noah. I just want to survive this pregnancy first before we even think about another one, it's a lot of stress! I have 1 sister. My DH has 1 sister, 1 step-sister and 2 step-brothers. I don't think it really affects how many we want to have. I think 2 just makes sense for us, plus I don't know how we'd afford more!
Getting excited about our big u/s next Thursday!!!! Can't wait to see if my prediction is right : )

We've always said one or two, but I think having a second will depend somewhat on our finances going forward.
We both come from fairly big families... DH is one of 4, I am one of 6. I think that did affect our desires for kids, because we both felt like when families get that big, sometimes all the kids don't get all the attention or resources they need.

I have a sister and brother, he has a brother. It's had no impact on our decision.

QOTD: We want 4 total. I have one sibling and always wanted at least one more and DH has "middle child syndrome" from having 2 siblings (not really, but he claims it anyways). An only child isn't something we want, so 4 is the next logical step! I will be happy and blessed with however many we have, though.
Hi ladies! We are thinking 2 kids...ideally a girl and a boy, hehe!
I have 2 brothers and DH has 1 sister, so not huge families.
QOTD: DH and I both want 3 children as of right now - we will see how the rest of this pregnancy and delivery go!
We have our 16 week appt today and we get to schedule our big u/s!

Hi there! I'm doing great and just found out last week that we're having a boy!
QOTD: I've always wanted 4. I come from a family of 4 kids and love having a bigger family--it's always fun when we all get together. DH is an only child and always wanted siblings so he says he'd be okay with 3, but isn't sure about having any more than that. I guess we'll just see how we both feel when we get there
We just found out this morning we are having a little girl! So my fisrt instinct was correct!!
QOTD: We are thinking about having 2-3. I am from a family of 2 siblings, DH is from 3. His parents always say "2 is too few and 3 is too many" so we'll have to wait and see as time goes by!

I am due January 9th. I thought we were having a girl--after being told that by practically everyone. BUT, we were surprised with a baby boy at our ultrasound last week.
DH and I want 3-4 kids, we think. I have 7 in my family, and he only has 2. We really want two boys and a girl, but we will see how it works out for us. So far, we are right on track.
We have 3 girls from DH's 1st marriage. We have permanent sole custody of them and their mom has been court ordered no contact with them so I pretty much have 3 kids that I got LITERALLY overnight a few years ago. That has had an affect on how many kids we plan to have. We were originally planning to have 2 of our own but now that these 3 live here plus the baby-our house is getting really small really fast and with the way life is this will likely be OUR only baby. I'm kind of sad because I had my heart set on 2 but we'll see what happens.
I have 1 sister...DH has a sister and a brother-his family is huge, everyone has tons of kids (I say its an Irish Catholic thing!) so I think it had a big impact on how many kids he wants-he would have 8 or 9 if we had the room for them all!

We plan on having 3-4 this is our first and we are very excited. We both come from big families. I have 2 older sisters and 2 younger brothers. and my husband has 3 sisters and 1 brother.

QOTD: ideally I'll have one boy and one girl. If the second is also a boy I'll give a girl one more shot but I don't want anymore than 3. I have one younger brother and DH has a twin sister and younger brother. Which makes sense that I want 2 and he's leaning more towards 3.
I haven't checked in in a couple of weeks!! I have the f/u to my big u/s on 8/3 as well as my 24 week appt! I'm praying that everything looks well. I'm starting to feel my LO move a lot more which is so amazing. I am just so in love
QOTD: DH and I plan on having 2 or 3 kids. He is the middle child of 3 and I am an only child. I really want my children to have "company". I never felt lonely, but I'm afraid that my kid would so I definitely would love for him to have siblings. DH doesn't have a super close relationship with his brother and sister, but we do enjoy doing things together and wouldn't trade them for the world! I think a combo of these has really made our decision of how many kids we want.
Update: Nothing too new- almost have the nursery finished, just in time for getting ready to go back to school!
QOTD: We're not sure if this is going to be our last or not. When the kid discussion came up before we got married, I said 2, DH said 3. Part of me says, we have one of each, lets stop before we're outnumbered.. but the other part of me can't imagine never being pregnant again or holding another little newborn babe that's mine! If we do go for a third, I think it will be one of those "if it happens, it happens" type of deals- no charting, no stressing, no worries, b/c we'll already have the minimal family we've always wanted. DH has 2 brothers, I have 3 sisters, so we both come from decent sized families- I figure if we had a 3rd though, one kid or the other is going to miss out on having a same gender sibling... but I'm not open to trying for a 4th to "even" the score!!!
