How did your first home study go?

Thanks so much for asking!

?It went pretty good. The whole day was really exhausting and emotionally trying, but that was mainly beacause dh was having a freak out moment right before we needed to sign the contract. So, I had to try really hard to pull myself together, but then everything was ok.

We had our individual interviews and our couple interview. We still need to do a home visit, but we didn't schedule that since dh is still freaking out about the?possibility?of having a baby placed with us this year, and now he wants to wait until January to get in the books, so we're just doing?things?at a?pace?that's comfortable for both of us. (To?explain?a tad about dh's worries: he thinks the CA?budget?crises could affect his teaching job so he wants to be absolutely sure he has a job before we go any further & the CA budget was?just?announced a day or so before our meeting AND we have bought a new house that's being?built?& won't be ready until February so he doesn't want to get in a situation where we are just way above our heads).

i'm so glad it went well!

You do have a lot on your plate, but it is good that you are both in the same place as far as moving forward. You have to do what you are comfortable with. Good luck and keep us updated.
