We're going back and forth between the Maclaren (Quest), Joovy Kooper and Citi Mini. I'm going to Baby's 1st tomorrow to see if they have the Citi Mini that I can see in person, if not...I don't know where else I'd look. Just wondering if anyone had it and had opinions on it.
Re: Anyone have the Citi Mini?
So Tasty, So Yummy
Thanks - I may not do the car seat adaptor. We're leaning toward the Chicco and that doesn't work with it (from what I saw online). But if we do a Graco seat it would. I planned on a SnG to begin with so I'm not 100% set on having to have the adaptor.
We are registering for it, but I don't have any experience with it yet. I posted about it on another board and it got great reviews. USA Baby on Westheimer has it if you want to try it out and I believe so did Baby's 1st on Richmond. I LOVE the fold of it. It's pretty light and the price is better than some of the higher end strollers. We are getting the attachment so we can fit the Graco car seat. The also have another attachment called the parent console that we have registered for.
I had the City Mini on my BRU registry, but it looks like they may have stopped selling them. I preferred it over the MacLaren because I liked the easy fold of the Baby Jogger, the canopy is way bigger and I believe the tires are bigger. Plus I liked the 3 vs 4 wheels.
I ran up to Baby's 1st on 45 at lunch and tried it out. I LOVE the way it folds. So fast and easy. Compared to the Joovy (my complaint is that you have to physically latch the stroller closed). I would consider the attachment just to make things easier. My only slight concern was that it was heavier than I anticipated. Much more so than the Maclaren. But I didn't pick up the Joovy in the store folded, so I can't compare it's weight to the Citi Mini.
We're going to check them out again Saturday so that DH can see the Citi Mini and hopefully decide on something.
I researched strollers A LOT and this one seemed to fit our needs and budget the best. It is a little heavier at 16 lbs than some of the umbrella strollers (ie. the MacLaren ~12-13 lbs), but you have a little bit bigger wheels and a bigger canopy, plus you can add the attachments which I don't think you could do with the MacLaren. I looked at the Joovy but for some reason it didn't make my list...I think it was because of the fold.
For me, this stroller seemed like it would fit all of our needs (casual strolling, walking around the neighborhood/park and travel) for now and we wouldn't need to buy multiple strollers which was a plus for me. DH loved the fold and that's really what sold us. I am going to borrow a friend's snap n go as well because the basket is bigger, but if I wasn't going to borrow one, I probably wouldn't register for one since it can't be used for very long.
