Bakery Recommendations

I am starting my search a bit early for someone to make my son's birthday cake in October.  I don't want to use Kroger or Tom Thumb which is what I normally use for cakes.  I would like something a bit fancier and wonder if any of you can recommend a bakery that specializes in cakes.  I plan to do a smash cake as well as a regular cake.  TIA for your help.  I am in the Frisco area but am not opposed to going anywhere in North Dallas.

I love Dallas Affairs-it is on Lovers, so a bit of a drive but they have amazing cakes!

I've never had a cake made by Carrie, but I love how her cakes look, very pretty! I peek at her blog?occasionally.

Try Radford Cakery in Dallas. They did our weddding cake; it was delicious!
