Other side compensating for clogged-duct side?

My left side is always the better-producing side. ?But I have a clogged duct right now that's not quite back to normal yet after tons of massaging, Advil, etc. yesterday.

My right side has been putting out a ton of milk today, much more than it normally does. ?Is it possible that the right side is compensating for the left side being out of order? ?Or is it just coincidence??

  • It's probably that the baby/babies signaled your other side to produce more (by demanding more) because they weren't getting what they needed from the side with a clogged duct.

Yep, this is what I was about to say.
