We in the process of a major house remodel and I just learned that we've essentially had a week slip.  My kitchen now won't be done until the weekend of August 22nd which is also the weekend that my ILs are coming to stay with us while they drop my BIL off at college.  So while I'll have a brand new kitchen to show off, everything will likely still be in boxes and while I know MIL would help unpack everything (she's super-helpful) it's really something that I need/want to do myself to figure out where the best place to put things will be.

I haven't slept in my house since July 4th.  I had hopes to be back to living there by this time next week (assuming we were done with all the work in the bedrooms), but may now have to rethink if I really want to go three weeks without a kitchen instead of the two I had been planning to deal with... 

We were obvioulsy crazy not to have this wrapped up earlier in the pregnancy, but we really thought it would be done towards the end of July and not spill so much into August.

I remember going three months with no kitchen when my parents remodled the house.  I was 12 and so tired of eatting out I feel for you. (we stayed there becasue we didn't redo the bathrooms)
