what to do??? daycare wise....

there are a couple of in homes that would take A and M for one day a week..but they do not have transportation to and from the school for Tay....

Sooo, my options are to put all 3 in a center that will bring Tay to and from school.  Tay will like coming back to the center with her sis and bro there...

OR.

Just put Tay in the center and put the other two in in-homes, which are cheaper and more home like.

Either way it will be hard for Mitch who is at that 2 year old, semi-clingy age and really only loves me and Miss Nanny....Audrey will love either place..she's the social butterfly.

This is for one day a week....I'm stressing out about one day a week....I haven't had to do this daycare stuff in a long time and it sucks....

  • Are any of htem in the same school district?  Could T take the bus to daycare that one day instead of taking the bus home?  Is there afterschool care at T's school?
  • I would put A & M in the inhome place since its homier and M. probably will get a little bit more attention then a center.

  • no busses at her school at all....the school is in the nieghborhood, but I don't want my 5 year old walking...the neighborhood is BIG.

  • that's what I"m leaning towards ami,..just for the security of not having a sick provider ruining my day that I need to be in the office, etc.....

I just worry about them being in different "classes" and not interacting with each other...

its one day...tell me to stop worrying!

  • You know, I think my kids like being in separate classes during the day.  Right now, they don't even go on the same playground, although that will change in another year.  I think they like the space and it makes them a little happier to be together at home.

Since it's just one day-It may be good for them. Give them a chance to form some independence, interact with other kids-not just their siblings. Yes-the freedom of not worrying about DCP vaca/sick days is great! I've done HDCP, and now use a center-I love it. It works great for us. And anyways-- It's just ONE day stop worrying!!! :p
