DH's friend is one of those 'down with the socialism!!!' type republicans.
he just told us that he's buying his meds from canada now since we are so expensive. yesterday he was b!tching about the communists running this country and about the evils of govt assisted health care.
um, hello. why are drugs more cheaper in canada??
Re: NBR: Anyone else see the irony?
I don't see that as ironic at all.
I'm one of those down with socialism types that would still like to see drug costs decrease. Not wanting the pharmaceutical companies to rape Americans has nothing to do with not wanting socialized medicine.
Do you think the pharmaceutical companies are going to stop raping Americans out of the goodness of their hearts? What's your solution, I'm curious.
The only one I can think of is to start working on alternatives. Competition will drive prices down. If people start focusing more on prevention and/or alternative medicine it may help.
That's all I've got.
And I'm all about capitalism, so telling these companies what they can and can't charge isn't the solution IMO.
Probably. The CEOs et all are just looking to give up their billion dollar salaries because it's for the "greater good of the people."
Just wanted to say, I love universal health care! Yay socialism!
I'm all for it! The right to medical care is a basic right as a citizen, IMO.?
DH said that as long as there's places to snow board, he's down with canada. lol
