~*~*BubblyToes*~*~

Ok, this is my very first drug question for you Smile

I have horrid, I mean, god awful acid reflux. When I was pg the last two times my OB had me on Nexium and it was amazing. I've been off of it for about a year now and have been medicating with OTC stuff and am not really that successful. I'm going to my primary doc next week to address the issue and am wondering if you would recommend for me to ask for the Nexium again or if there is something better out there. I know that there are different kinds of drugs, but I'm thinking that I want one that will prevent acid production, right??

  • Nexium, and the other drugs in it's class (Prevacid, Protonix, Aciphex, Kapidex, Prilosec) are pretty much the best choices for the reflux.  I would ask for it again if it worked well for you in the past.
