The b/w today said my Progesterone level was 25. The doctor said that was a great number and I don't need to have vaginal suppositories (to thicken my uterin lining. Last week's u/s showed it to only be at 6.5 so they thought I would need the suppository). I have googled what exactly that means and can't find anything except that some sites say it should be in the 100s and women on other forums said at CD22 their levels were at least 160. Can someone shed a bit of light on what all this means. I know that it means I can sustain a pg but why are some numbers so high and some so low? And what does it mean the higher the number? I'm sorry I ask so many ridiculous questions but I never realized just how many intricate details there are just in TTC. I wish it were as easy as egg + sperm = pregnant. :-/
Re: CD18-Progesterone Level Question
when did you ovulate is the first question? that number only makes sense if it was done at 7dpo.
the progesterone number has nothing to do right now if you are pregnant, only that you ovulated and that your lining is thick if there is pregnancy in need of implantation. low (below 10) means that ovulation is very weak.
