sitz bath

I am sure this has been asked a million times, so here's to a million and one!

Where did you ladies get it from? I looked all over walmart today to no avail. Did you fill the tub up just slightly, my doc said I couldn't take a bath or submerge my body for up to 6 weeks.

The hospital gave me mine.

Try a drugstore or a hospital supply store.

You can just sit in water (why this is referred to as a 'sitz' bath I don't know. I could google it, but I'm too lazy and don't care enough about the answer). Some people use Epsom salts, which are available at any pharmacy. I got Earth Mama Angel Baby Postpartum Bath Herbs at a specialty store. I don't think they did much of anything special but I figured that if it took something gimmicky to get me to carve out 10 minutes to sit in a bath that first week then it was worth it.

I just re-read your post. Are you asking about that container thing you can put in the toilet? If so, I have no idea. It sounded uncomfortable to me so I didn't pursue it.

the hospital gave us one but DH forgot it so we got one from the pharmacy. I filled it completely and any overflow just fell into the toilet. do these 2xaday at least...they were amazing in healing me quickly

The hospital gave me one, but honestly, i hurt to sit on the toliet, so it didnt do anything for me.  I just sat in a bath at home and it helped a lot.
