I just started reading through it and I can't believe someone sells this for $30. It reads like a rough draft at best. The info seems good but it is not put together in a professional manner so in my opinion it doesn't seem worth $30...I'd pay maybe $5. But yes, to answer your question...it is probably stealing ( and I don't really care).
I had gotten a copy from a friend almost 3 years ago. I didn't know it was something she paid for until I read through it and it clearly says something along the lines of "if you have received this any other way than by paying for it, it's been stolen."
I would have never paid for it though to begin with.
Yes, it's a book that you have to pay for. I did. I think it's a colossal waste of money. Not that the method isn't sound, but you don't have to charge $25-$30 for a .pdf with BIG font.
It does warn against re-distributing it, but in the same sentence, the author says she wouldn't be against you sharing it with family and close friends.
The complete text has been c&p'ed several places online.
I don't forward the book (except to one close friend), but have no problem summarizing the method.
Would you loan a book to a friend that you bought off amazon.com? Is that any different really?

I didn't see this anywhere on what I received.
Hmm, mine says something like that. It's in AZ on my computer there and I'm in CA right now so I can't really say for sure what it says.
Not a big deal IMHO though, I'm not too worried about people emailing it to others.
I think the author is just capitalizing on people's desperation to potty train their children. DandR has described essentially the same "method" that she's potty trained many children for. There's a similar method on babycenter. Somehow, people (myself included) just put more stake into having to pay for something. And supposedly she's available via her online "helpdesk" anytime. I've heard bad things about her customer service on that, though.
I know a lot of us have even modified her method to better suit our children. . . so are we "3 day potty training failures" Maybe. But my kid is completely potty trained.
I wish I'd just listened to DandR and my own gut instead of paying for it.
Re: s/o: sharing the 3 Day PT manual

I do not see that on here...
That particular file says it was found free online. If you feel bad about using that one, this looks pretty darn similar:
https://www.babycenter.com/0_potty-training-in-three-days-or-less_10310078.bc?
If I buy a paperback at the store and after reading it give it to someone else, is that stealing?
(I never read the 3day PT manual, I just googled the term and read bits and pieces about it and did it)
good point

Exactly.
