IVF and "doing the deed"

Sorry, couldn't come up with a better euphamism!  It's not baby dancing if you're doing IVF!

Any way, my question is, how soon after the transplant do you and DH do the deed?  I know that it's silly, but I'm a bit freaked out about it.  I keep thinking about that Mad About You episode from eons ago when the husband (Michael?) didn't want to "disturb the baby's house."  I feel like if the baby hasn't settled into the house yet, then maybe the foundations of the house should go undisturbed.  Am I being crazy???  I swear, I am normally a completely rational and normal person usually!  This whole thing just has me second guessing everything about "normal" life!

Re: IVF and "doing the deed"

  • My RE recommends no "deed" until your beta.

  • I think with the IVF that I had DD with we didn't get busy till after I found out I was pregnant. Even then it was difficult because the progesterone suppositories really dry you out down there, sorry if TMI.
  • My RE has also said not until after your Beta.
