I really like the name Stella and I don't think it sounds too "old" at all. It's really coming back in style, a lot of those style names are
I do agree w/ PP on Carter though..

so yes, im not a HUGE fan of carter, but it is a family name that is a MUST for the middle name. so i dont love it, but you gotta do what you gotta do compromise is everything!
Just food for thought....tori spelling has that reality show about her family. Her husband's name is Dean and her daughter's name is Stella. So when I read your name suggestion I thought of Tori Spelling. Not sure if that is good or bad? But it might be something to think about.

this is the first thing i thought of...not a bad thing, just the first thing that came to my mind.
stella is cute, however, i don't think stella carter dean flows very well. maybe a longer first name (think elizabeth or catherine) will flow better with the middle and last name.
I like Carter as the middle name, b/c its different - I don't think its too boyish to be used as a girl's mn. And Stella is beautiful and classic, but not overdone. You have my vote!

Makes me think of some old Hollywood movie star or something. Also, I know a girl named Stella & she is beautiful... I think this is why I like the name so much. It just goes with a pretty girl to me. Weird.
