Do most hospitals have wi-fi?

Do most hospitals have free wi-fi these days? I'm taking a client to the hospital a little later today and I'm guessing that I'll probably have a few hours to kill while he's undergoing his procedure.

If I take my laptop most hospitals have wi-fi these days, don't they? Or no...?

Re: Do most hospitals have wi-fi?

  • I'm not sure. The hospital I work at does not have wi-fi, so there's definitely some out there that probably don't have it.

Over the past year, we have been in 3 hosptials. 1 out of the 3 had wi-fi.

  • Our hospital did but we had to ask how to log in - the nurses had the info for us.

  • The one I work at has it & it's great for visitors & more alert patients.
  • Every hospital in our area has free wi-fi (even the city where I live has free wi-fi).  But, I live in Silicon Valley so such technology may not be as abundant elsewhere.  I'd bring my laptop along, just in case :)
