HI M!!! I'm pretty good...depends on how many details you want LOL.
I love your new pic of B-she looks so little and adorable! Just FYI- In my head, I'm still planning a trip to NY to meet up with some of you! And you totally have to tour-guide me through the city. I've always wanted to see what NY is like.
1. Jake is starting to do PTing, he pee'd in the potty last night without being asked to and was super proud of himself.
2. I started selling Avon, and there's so many cool things in there. I told my coworker-who I thought would LOVE it, since she's big on all that beauty and wrinkle stuff, but she totally pulled a b!tch card when I told her I've started selling it. (and it's not like I even asked her anything!)
3. DH and I are on month 3 of TTC, and I'm just now entering the 2ww.
4. DS is switching daycare, I'm finally fed up with his current one. More then once I've picked him up and his diaper is SOAKED full and pants are wet from it, and they had no clue. And this last time, it was full of poop and pee, AND his shorts were wet. Do they EVER change him?! His poor lil' butt is getting a rash from it. GRRR! Plus, every day they start a full move (like cars, bolt, ...) and the kids HAVE to sit there. They won't let them play quietly, color-nothing. They have to sit there. And I think that's too much TV time for daycare. So, he's moving to a preschool type program, very hands on, curriculum, all sorts of goodness.
Whew- that was longer then I thought it'd be, sorry.
3. Good Luck, I hope this is your month. How exciting!
4. Good for you for taking him out. The diaper thing is unnacceptable. The TV thing is bad too. My DC has been doing the TV thing too and I'm having issues with it.
I thought about it, but I don't want to be pushy. It's not me. I'm totally ok with people not wanting to buy something-that's never bothered me. It's just the way she said it.
I didn't mind the TV thing at first, but then they started saying "oh, Jake wouldn't listen." or "He kept running around and not listening." So I asked when, what activity was going on when he was acting up, they said movie time (every time!) So, I told them he doesn't want to sit and watch a movie, why does he have to? Give him a bucket of blocks to play with, a car, a truck, some crayons and paper-anything. He shouldn't HAVE to sit and watch a movie for 45min. They got the hint that I wasn't siding with them and haven't said anything about him acting up again. It just really annoyed me though. I'm sure he's still acting up and and they are just not telling me.
That's exactly my issue. I've picked her up a few times where they complained that she was running around during "movie time" and I told them, there's only so much TV a kid will sit still for. They need to release their energy.
and I'm not an anti-TV person, I wouldn't mind if they watched a movie once every couple weeks or so, but this is every.freggin.day.
Oh, and I picked him up early on Monday, is was about 4:30, movie time starts at 4:45 usually. So what are they doing when I get there--- sitting on the mat WAITING for the movie time. The kids were just sitting there, being restless and talking/watching each other. The teacher was doing diapers/potty time. ugh. So, not only sitting for 45min to watch a movie, but sit for 15 or so min WAITING for the movie too... Aug 3rd can't come soon enough!
I'm not either. I grew up on TV but I don't pay for my kid to go somewhere to learn and play to be put infront of a TV instead. My place does it every single day too. She's at an in-home and I'm thinking at this age, maybe a center is more appropriate and structured.
DS was in a home daycare until 11/12months, I noticed she ALWAYS had TV on and I didn't want him around it. So I moved him to this center, and they did TV a couple times a month or so for the 1yr olds (elmo, sesame street) and I was ok with that. But then he went to the 2s and they show full length disney movies EVERY.NIGHT. So...that was on the top of my list when I was looking for a new center. Plus foods-- current place gives him Kool-aid at snack and sometimes lunch (even when he was 1)...I'd like him to have milk-not a sugar'd up drink! But I let it go... Now, all the little things stack up and I'm ready to move on.
This new place is accredited, the teachers have to have college courses to work there...it seems great. OH! And he'll be in the same class as his cousin, they are only 4mo apart.
LOL-- I would have never known, except him poop was a weird color, so I asked them what he had. She said, "oh Kool aid does that to them sometimes." My jaw dropped and I said - "You give him KOOL AID!?" She kinda took a step back and said, "yeah....but we can give him water those days if you'd like." I shook my head in disbelief and walked out. It was about a month later I noticed it again...then every week for like a month. UGH.
the problem for me, when they do that kind of stuff is you feel bad your kid is left out, or they feel bad and give it to them. But really, they shouldn't be giving them that sh*t to begin with.
Yup, that's why I hate making him do with out... he knows what it is and likes it, but doesn't understand why he can't have it. We make sugar free crystal light stuff at home and he calls it kool aid now LOL

How are you?
I have all day, whats going on?
Thank you!
I'd be happy to show you around. NYC is the most amazing, crazy, exciting place in the world.
We're good. B is taking me for a little brat ride but all is great otherwise.
Ok, I'll give you a quickie-

1. Yayyyy!!!! That's excellent!
2. Start leaving the Avon book on her desk. lol
3. Good Luck, I hope this is your month. How exciting!
4. Good for you for taking him out. The diaper thing is unnacceptable. The TV thing is bad too. My DC has been doing the TV thing too and I'm having issues with it.
That wasn't that long

I'd just do it to mess with her.
That's exactly my issue. I've picked her up a few times where they complained that she was running around during "movie time" and I told them, there's only so much TV a kid will sit still for. They need to release their energy.

him being with his cousin would seal the deal for me too. It sounds like a better fit.
I'd be livid if they gave my kid kool-aid.

I'm glad I bring my own food and drinks for B.
Yup, that's why I hate making him do with out... he knows what it is and likes it, but doesn't understand why he can't have it. We make sugar free crystal light stuff at home and he calls it kool aid now LOL
So what's the attitude Miss B is giving you?
ETA: OH! And where'd you go on a trip to?
