Goodbye gift for DS's daycare teacher?

DS's last day at his daycare is Friday. We're very close to our in home provider and have used her for about two years.

For holidays, birthdays, etc I give her gift cards to her favorite restaurants, Visa gift cards, etc. I've never really given her anything "personal." I actually will probably still do a gift card as a gift from DH and I but would like something else for DS to give her. I am clueless!  Any ideas?

I usually do gift card but for the end of the school year this year, I added one of the Willow Tree Demdaco angels.  I got the Teacher one and it was 15.00, it was just something personal.  I think it was called the learning one or something like that.

Things I liked getting when I was teaching kindergarten (not that I looked forward to gifts or anything - but these were thoughtful and nice - but still generic!) :  willow tree angels, garden decorative stuff (I like gardening), pretty candles/holders, chocolate (who doesn't like chocolate!), build a bear!  - actually this is my fav.!!!   You could take your son to build a bear and he could build a little bear that looks like the teacher!!!!!   How fun is that!?,  pretty smelling lotions/bath stuff to pamper herself with.  Really, I don't think you could go wrong.   The thought behind it will be more touching to the teacher than anything else:)
