Drew is home sick again with a high fever. He never got over his last sickness. This is the second time in four weeks since he began daycare. I knew he'd get sick more often being in school but not this much in this short amount of time. I hope it gets better soon.
Re: Tell me it gets better
Well I don't know first hand bc I'm a SAHM mom but have you considered in the meantime that he is in daycare to look for an in home care provider or a nanny?
Before I became a teacher and through college I was a nanny for 2 families. And because I was an Early Childhood major, their upbringing was a lot different than say their friends or relatives. There are tons of upcoming teachers looking for those sort of positions and your LO can only benefit (if they're REALLY good) with the one on one contact.
Just a thought and that is the end of my novel....
P.S. I hope he gets better!! And poor mommy
I work for a Ped. and see this all of the time...I actually started noticing the same thing when I went back to work part-time and put my son in an in-home daycare. He seemed to be sick every couple of weeks as well. My ped. said, have you not noticed how often these kids come in here!?
Anyway, he'll build up a resistance after a year or so and then he'll never get sick, hopefully!!
I just don't know how you full-time working mom's do it b/c I would go nuts trying to figure out what to do when I was just working part-time! I HATED having to miss work! Good luck!
Oh my, I didn't realize it would be like that for a year or two. I know it will be good to build up a resistance, but at the same time it sucks. Thanks for your input.

It gets better. Addy was sick all the time in the beginning. She has a great immune system now, even though we just went through another round of crap..
It sucks now, but his immune system will be iron clad later on.
