Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

lunch idea that doesn't need to be heated

we're traveling on sat. and my DS is lactose intolerant

looking for something to bring for lunch to have on the way that does not need to be heated....

any ideas?

  • - Lunchables. Feed him the meat and crackers only, and you eat the cheese. Serve with fresh, raw veggies (like cucumber slices).

    - PB&J sandwich or deli meat sandwich and a fruit cup.

  • I brought a PB&J for her to eat and some orange slices. I also had a bunch of other snack type foods, so she was set. 
  • My standard travel meal for DD is to boil up some edamame or peas and carrots in the morning, then put them in a tupperware and get on the road. They usually stay warmish in the tupperware and don't go bad. I also toss some fruit in there, usually an orange or a banana.

  • haven't tried PB yet with my DS and i heard that lunch meat has lactose in it.  not sure though.
