...is at summer camp today! It's a preschool summer camp at the school she was going to be attending, that is, until we got into our first choice preschool two weeks ago. But I still wanted to give this summer camp a try so she could have fun and to give Mommy a little break, not to mention as a warm-up for preschool. If she makes it the whole 3 hours, it'll be the longest she's EVER been without Mommy or Daddy. That's just what happens with no family in this part of the country, and she goes with us everywhere. She's cried the last couple of times I've left her at the Y so I figured she'd cry this morning, and she did. I could still hear her as I left the building, but I know she's in good hands. I hope she has fun and I don't get a phone call!

Re: my little baby
Thanks, everyone! She's made it an hour now, so hopefully we're good. I'm finishing up my breakfast in peace, and I've been able to answer a few posts in peace, then I'm going to get up and get some stuff done!
raceyrae, preschool where she'll be going starts Aug. 24th. If she were still going to be attending this school where she is today she'd be starting Sept. 11th, so we booked our annual trip to Seattle such that we'll get back Sept. 7th. It was a perfect jinx to get her into our first choice school since we had just booked our plane tickets less than a week before I got called about her getting in, but it means she'll be missing two weeks in effect since we arrive back here so late on 9/7 that I don't see us being able to send her on 9/8, especially with the time difference. More than you wanted to know, eh?
She'll be going two days a week, Mon. and Tues., with an option to add Friday.

I was ready this past January for MY sanity, but I didn't want her in an infant class since she was walking by the time some of her would-be classmates were born in the fall.
Registration at most preschools here is in February or March, so I think it makes sense to look around in January or so.
