I'm pretty sure an otolaryngologist cannot give versed. Hopefully he'll have a pediatric anesthesiologist present for his surgery, you should be able to request one- I know that would make me feel a lot better.
lsl - the same doc did Sam's tongue frenulum clip last year, they do versed & nitris. It's at an outpatient surgery clinic off-shoot from the hospital, so I think as long as there's a staff anesth. there somewhere, they're ok with whatever.
sevoflurane - I think that's what they give, ignore the nitris that I said. DD reacted BADLY to the anesthesia, she reacts to codiene, any sedative. So I'm trying to control what they give DS a little just in case it happens with him as well.
Re: Bubbly or anyone w/a drug dosage guide.. ?
Here is what DH just texted me Kori. Hopefully it's helpful!
.25-.5mg per kg by mouth or .05mg per kg IV to 0.4mg/kg max
2.2lbs = 1kg
He says he only uses the versed for pre-surgery anxiety and would more likely use propofol or inhalational sevoflurane.
