They teach them tumbling stuff, have them do stuff on the trampolines, jump and play in the foam pit, walk balance beam, do obstacle courses, stretch and all kinds of fun stuff. He took a break for the summer, but will probably be going back in the fall.

dd is in gymanstics, but its not like a fun tumble class...there is fun, but definite structure and at first i hated the lady thinking she was too strict for 2 year olds.
but she has lightened up and dd is learning a lot. plus dd loves it, which i wasnt sure she would.
its more the kind of gymnastics that is working towards becoming a future gymnast, not just to learn about the body.

The twins are in gymnastics...they started at 17 months and they love it. Ours isn't a "fun" kind of class either- it's structured and they teach real gymnastics but the coach announced that at the very first class. My DH's sister and her husband own the gymnastics academy we go to so gymnastics is "In the family" LOL.
My oldest son did it when he was younger (starting around 5 or 6 years) & then was on a team until he was about 12. He loved it. Now, our 3 & 5 year old DD's are in it & LOVE it!! They have such a blast!
My dd has been doing it for over 2 years and goes year round. She loves it and it is the structured gymnastics learning the skills. She has super muscles from it and loves it.
Re: Anyone's DC in gymnastics?
My 4 year old LOVES it!
