Strollers - Triplet Moms

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but what stroller do you recommend? We were looking at the Peg Perego Triplette SW. But we want a stroller that we can use for a while, and it doesn't specify weight restrictions, so I'm not sure. Anyone have any hands on experience with this one? If not let me know what you use, any suggestions would help!

Thanks! :)

Re: Strollers - Triplet Moms

  • That one would definitely last a while, I think the weight limit is 35 lbs per kid. But we only used ours until they were about a year old, when we got the Choo Choo wagon. Man, it sucks that they don't make them anymore!

But...the PP is a great stroller. You will be able to use it for a long time, esp if you get the infant seats that snap in while they're tiny.

  • Can I ask, does anyone have any thoughts on the Triple Decker stroller?  I like how you can put the Graco car seats into it and they have toddler seats too.  Rants/Raves?

  • Some people love the triple decker - I am very anti triple decker. A good friend of mine had one and every single time we went for a walk around the park or anywhere she'd turn the thing over. It is just not designed properly. I've read similar stories on tripletconnection.

If you want one that will last from infancy all the way to 4 years old - go with the runabout. The newer ones come with the frame that accommodates the infant car seats and the toddler seats to attach later. The older ones you can find on Ebay, Craigslist or at Moms sales can be retrofitted, or you can simply recline the seats and put infants in them (they have 5 point harnesses).  I have one I'm getting ready to sell. They are expensive.  I got a deal on one on clearance for $800 in 2005. Normally the $800 would only get you the stroller - but it also got me the airless tires, basket, cup holder, sun shade and rain cover. I should easily be able to sell it for $400 - $450 on Ebay because I always kept it in the house or in the van. I've seen them resold 2 and 3 times.  They last forever.

  • I love love my peg prego stroller we use it everyday. I love the triple decker stroller when my kids where small. I never had the issue of it dumping over.
  • I'm a big fan of the Runabout as well! It rolls right into the back of my van without needing to be folded or taken apart at all. (Just have to take the canopy off and slide the handle down.) I love it!
