WWYD-BC

So DH, DD and I are going this weekend to Vegas for a few days to visit with my family then off to MN for a week My BC placebos(sp?) are to start this coming Sunday so I'll be on my period while in MN. I'm going back and forth about whether I want to skip them and start my new pack or just go ahead and have my period. It really comes down to a covenience issue...WWYD?

Re: WWYD-BC

  • I used to be on seasonique so I had a period once in 3 mons. but before that i tried to back to back my reg BCP and it screwed me up and I spotted the whole time. just light brownish--but still annoying. I would prob have it and get it over with--since it may just make you spot for longer than a reg period like it did me--if you skip the P pills.

  • I was supposed to be on my period for my honeymoon, so I just started the new pack instead. I had very light spotting for half a day. Totally worth it imo.

  • Anytime I have done this with the pill, I totally make up for it my next go around.... horrible cramps, excessive bleeding, and just not worth it IMO.  If it was your honeymoon or something, then maybe, but I wouldn't for just a vacation.
  • I have never noticed a difference when I skipped the placebo week the next go round and have heard that there is no medical issue with skipping them so I would go ahead and do that if it were me.
  • Skip them.  It doesn't harm you, think about the seasonalle (sp?) pills.  It would be worth it for my comfort.

when choosing between period and no period, I'd choose "No period" every time, no question. :)
