ugh.. i'm at my wit's end with DS's sleep issues.if you've read the book, or have any experience, can you tell me if ferber will help DS and me? i have HSHHC and it's not helping me. i'm trying to avoid CIO, but i'm feeling like it's my only solution. DS doesn't want to be rocked.for naps, i put him down, and give him a paci. but even though he's sleepy he cries and i replace the paci (and repeat) sometimes it helps if i pat his back or rub his head. but still, he needs the paci and can take me up to 45 minutes to get him down.(this one is bad...) one time, i was checking to see if he was hungry so i got a bottle and gave it to him while he was lying down, and he took it so i lifted him and tried to feed him on my lap, but he didn't want it and cried. i put him down again, gave him the bottle and he proceeded to fall asleep almost immediately. (i've had to resort to this a few times, which i feel horrible about) at night, we have a routine, and he know's it's time to sleep, but again.. it can take up to an hour sometimes to get him down.he wakes up 2-3 times for his pacilast night he woke up at 5:30 to eat (he was definitely hungry)my biggest problem is getting him to fall asleep, when i'm out and about, he stays awake until i put him in the car and then he falls asleep. (sometimes he'll be awake for 5-6 hours fussing b/c he's tired but won't sleep)i wear him when i'm out and he used to fall sleep in the moby, but NOPE not anymore! he won't sleep in a moving stroller either. ugh! writing this down makes me feel like there's something wrong with me, b/c i can't get my own child to sleep. it just seems like there's so many problems all around regarding his sleep.any help is appreciated. ** if you read this whole thing.. THANK YOU it turned out to be super long.
