XP: Food Blogs/Sites?

I know about PioneerWoman, Bakerella, FoodGawker, Tastespotting....

What's your favorite food blog or website for recipes?

I'm looking for easy dinners rather than fancy meals, especially since I'm the only one who eats meat.

DH is insisting that I eat more meat rather than just eat veggie like him.

Re: XP: Food Blogs/Sites?

  • SimplyRecipes.com is one of my favorites. It's full of staples and "everyday meals."
  • Loading the player...
  • Pretty much every girl on the "What's Cooking" board has a food blog.  Most of them have the links in their sigs.  I use google reader and subscribe to a ton of their blogs.  Most of them are pretty easy meals.
  • I have a cooking blog!  It's not quite the level of PW or bakerella, but I think it has some good/easy stuff.  Link is in my signature.

Oh,and if you're from Cincinnati and you like chili spaghetti...the recipe in my blog is awesome!!

  • Thanks ladies!  I find it really hard planning dinners since I have a veggie husband (who's picky, too) and especially now that he insists I have meat with almost every meal.

PS Carimeli: I freaking love Skyline Chili.  I'm planning on having some at some point this week and stretching it out in a 3way, Skyline Dip & Chili Cheese Fries....

  • yes!  It's good on a baked potato, in a tortilla with cheese, or now we buy turkey dogs (only 40 calories!) and top it with the skyline and cheese.  SO GOOD!

  • My site is in the link in my siggy. If you click on main dishes I have a ton of easy but delicious meals posted. And if you're looking for desserts..it's my specialty! :)

Yes, I've found some great blogs on that board! Some of the ones I really like are:

A Year In The Kitchen: https://ashleescooking.blogspot.com/

...But where do you get your protein? (A veggie blog): https://gscookingblog.blogspot.com/

    Big City Cooking: https://bigcitycooking.blogspot.com/

    Good Things Catered: https://goodthingscatered.blogspot.com/

I also enjoy Smitten Kitchen: https://smittenkitchen.com/

Also, just as a side note... I have found it SO much easier to follow these blogs using Google Reader. My favorite thing is you can search through all of your blog subscriptions - so, for example, if I have extra spinach to use up, I can search "spinach" and find recipes in all of the blogs. Love it!

  • Thanks!

PS: I puff-heart LOVE my google reader Smile

I post most new recipes I try in my blog, but it's by no means a "food" blog.
