Is this tacky?

I have a baby shower to go to and I couldn't find a box except for one my small packing boxes.  My small packing boxes are rectangle and about four-five inches tall and all brown (they come from my parents meat business.  I would have no issues using it except my mom wrote my name and the contents of the box on the top and I blacked it out but it looks like shi!t...should I just leave an extra half hour early and grab a bag from the grocery?

Can you wrap it so that she will only have to open one end of it and the contents will slide out? On one hand, it's a PITA to have to stop at a store for a bag. On the other hand, you might feel weird if you go there and all of the other gifts are lookin' really pretty on the table!

Do you have any pretty container boxes in the house? You know . . . the kind that you stack? You could use one of those.

Do you have tissue paper where you could wrap it in that and cinch it at the top with a piece of ribbon?

It isn't tacky, but probably wouldn't look great.  What is the gift?  Does it have to be in a box?  Can you wrap it in wrapping paper without a box?

I have started using the funny paper to wrap stuff and I just say I am trying to be more "green".  It saves money and is better for the world.  Win, win.

I wouldn't do it. For me, I give almost as much time to the presentation as I do to the gift.
