I've never had elephant ears, but I've seen them, and I know they are different. Funnel cake is made by streaming donut-y batter through a funnel directly into hot oil. And it's yummy!?

my mil buys fresh pizza dough from a loal pizza place and makes her own elephant ears from time to time. Really good! I told her to let us know the next time she makes them so I can stay away!

*raises hand* dumbass here. ?I was told they were basically the same thing. ?I hate elephant ears and won't try funnel cake. ?I also hate donuts - I just don't like fried dough.
