Help! alka seltzer question

So i was having terrible heartburn and I haven't had it this bad whole pregnancy. So I am used to taking alka seltzer for heartburn and took some tonight without thinking! After I finished I realized that I didn't remember seeing it on the approved medicine list. So of courses I googled it and everyone said absolutly not. I'm freaking out now because it could potentially harm my baby. I plan on calling tomorrow and asking, but has anyone done taken alka seltzer and asked their doctor about it?

What I read says it's not safe if you used the kind with aspirin in it. If it didn't I wouldn't worry too much, but to settle any fears I would call your doc in the morning. Aspirin can be listed as salicylate or acetylsalicylic acid.

I had taken the tablets that dissolve and the ingrediants listed 500mg of asprin. That freaked me out more.

the aspirin is the concern, however one time shouldn't do any harm.  In the future for heartburn you can use tums or between 1-2 tsp of baking soda in water.  Alkaseltzer is just baking soda, citric acid and aspirin.

I haven't taken alka seltzer but Pepcid Max (20 mg) REALLLY helps me. I take one every couple of days & I am good to go for a few days. Tums finally stopped working = (  good luck!
