WTF with all the congrats people!

Ok, I keep seeing all the congrats posts a but maybe, just maybe not everyone WANTS to be congratulated. Seriously, if I got surprise knocked up I wouldn't really want to hear it. Would you?

    If I wasn't happy about it, didn't want congratulations, and didn't want to talk about it, I would not add a ticker announcing it to the world.

    If you do not want it talked about, or don;t want to be congratulated, don't put a ticker in your siggy.....so, she put it out there, so we would assume she is happy with the news.

    Sorry - I didn't mean to speak for/about her - I'm just saying for me. I'm seen so many congrats for her and it got me thinking that *I* woudl not be planning and *I* would not want to hear it....just to clarify. Seeing as her son is stinkin' cute as all get out I would maybe need to double that trouble though...

    If I wasn't excited about it and didn't want internet people saying congrats all the time, then I wouldn't put a ticker in my siggy.

    I have to admit I've paged her with a congrats previously.

    1. She is a well known poster who people like.

    2. I "missed" her announcement - apparently perhaps because there wasn't one?

    3. I wanted to congratulate her.

    It never occurred to me to consider whether or not it was planned or whatnot. That's her personal info. But her ticker says she is, so I wanted to respond to it.

    And pivey, honestly. Which is worse - starting a thread with Meg's name on it to say congrats. Or starting a thread about unplanned pregnancies with her name in it...insinuating....etc.

    If someone announces it in this way "I'm pregnant!" then congrats are due.

    If someone says "OH MY GOD I HATE MY LIFE, what am I going to do with this leech?" 

    Congrats may need to be swallowed.

    I remember a BFP post from last week where the mom was all upset and was afraid to tell her H until after the weekend or a work thing was over or something and how it was so not planned etc etc.  The first 5 people were all "it'll be ok" "things will look better tomorrow" "you have options, chin up" etc and then the next person was "OMG!! Exciting CONGRATS  YEAH FOR YOU!!!1!!1" 

    It took all my energy to not call out that dummy to see if they could read or not.

    i posted about mine and people knew i was pretty pissed off, so i didn't get many congrats except for those IRL (and others on here who didn't know the situation).

    if megs doesn't want to be congratulated, she should just not put a ticker in her siggy until she is comfortable.
