Virus? Bad food??

DS started with diarehha (sp??) yesterday around 230p.  He immediately got a horrible rash and was telling us that his belly hurt.  We have him some Tylenol last night to help with the pain. 

His temp tonight was 99.2, and he has eaten today (nothing substantial, but crackers, fruit, some soup etc).  He had 6-7 poopy diapers today (all really runny).  Other than that, and him saying his belly hurt now and then, he seems ok.  Still playing, running around.  Perhaps a BIT less than normal, but nothing that screaams lethargic.

So... do you think this is a virus?  My mom asked if he had eaten anything that could have been a bit "iffy"... milk that had been out too long etc.  Would he have other symptoms?  I can't think of anything that he might have eaten that we haven't other than strawberries that I bought him the day before yesterday.

Also, we are supposed to meet up with a few friends/kids from my hometown tomorrow... would you be concerned?  I would hate to pass around a virus, but if he does'nt have a fever, do you think it's a problem?
