How are you handling this heat??

Blahhhh its sooo hot! I have the air conditioner on 24/7 but it doesn't reach our bd. So to cope with sleeping, I had DH pull out the futon in the living room and I made a prego bed (full of pillows, books, water bottles...basically a nest) on the futon bed.

DH laughs when he comes home from work in the a.m (works nights) bc I'm passed out around a bunch of pillows, in a sports bra and shorts, with empty water bottles on the floor surrounding the bed.

What are you doing to cope with the heat?

We are soo lucky.. Our apt. stays pretty cool.  We have an air conditioner and haven't needed to hook it up yet.  At work is another story.  I am always soo hot at work.  If I turn on the AC, the baby room gets to cold so I just have to deal with it... which is hard when you feel all sticky sweaty! LOL  Yuck!  2 weeks of work left!  I can hardly wait!

We don't have AC -- which is a bummer since I've been spoiled in all the of other places I've lived since college.  It's been hard to stay cool ... I usually just wear shorts/tank top ... have a HUGE glass of ice water with me at all times ... and then take a cool shower in the evenings. I don't start work until next week ... so yeah, it's been fun hanging out in the non air conditioned house. :-P

DH and I have always had a/c until we moved here... we try to suck all the cool air in at night with fans in the doors and windows and we're usually ok until about 3pm from 3pm-9pm our place is a sauna we have a skylight in our living room that acts like a magnifying glass, it's awful.  Next place we need a/c.
