I too am in love with Beth Moore, LOL! The Esther Study was fantastic...and her "Jesus The One and Only" was just fantastic. I really learned a lot about the person Jesus was in that study, I highly reccommend that one if you ever get the chance. Oh and the other thing I liked about this study is that she did it on location, so a lot of her talks are in actual places where Jesus stood and walked....made is so real to me!
Have you done any others of hers?

Re: withoutshoes
I'm glad I'm not the only one that adores her! I am enjoying the Esther study. Seriously, every week I want to stand up at the end w/ tears rolling down my face and just scream with excitement!
I have completed her study on Daniel and enjoyed that one also.
My mom is reading The Beloved Disciple (on John). I'm interested in reading it too b/c I will be doing a different study on John in the fall.
I really want to do her study on the Psalms (Stepping Up). Who am I kidding, I want to do them all!I love her DVD's but they are pretty expensive!
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to save a little money so I can buy that one. I love the fact she did it on location where Jesus actually stood and walked!
Angelpack...feel free to butt in whenever you would like. Thanks for the recommendation on "Living Beyond Yourself"! Geez, I'm going to be a busy girl doing all of these studies! Do you mind me asking what the study covered?
I guess I liked Daniel because it explained prophecy plus I love the Old Testament.
Living Beyond Yourself talks about the fruit of the spirit in Galations 5:22-23. It is a 10 week course and there are 9 of these fruit. Each week you talk about 1 and how you can be better at that. This has been 3 years ago now so, sadly, it is a little fuzzy. I remember towards the end though there were a few of the videos that just about had me in tears, the only thing preventing them was the 200 other people around me. It is a ton of work because she pulls from ALL over the bible so you are flipping all over the place to do the homework, but you learn so much and it makes you want to be even better.
ETA: I did very much enjoy Daniel as well. I found so much of it very interesting. Especially seeing how Revelations related back to Old Testament, which I never realized quite so much.
Ohhh the Living Beyond Yourself sounds like a good study too, I hope they'll do it at our church soon!
withoutshoes...do you buy the whole study, DVDs and all? I usually just buy the book and do the study through church. You can also download the video sessions online, it might be cheaper that way, but i don't know for sure.
I love reading the verse about the fruits of the spirit. That sounds like a really good study.
Jones...I bought the whole study, DVD and all on Daniel. I'm involved with BSF. So, my only "free" time is in the summer to take a course on my own. My church is more into small groups rather than doing studies like Beth Moore, etc. So, it's easier for me to buy the study and do it myself in the summer rather than hunt down a church who is participating in a study I might enjoy. Thankfully, a friend of mine told me about the Esther study at her church so I didn't have to buy her DVD this time (even though I still want it)
Thanks for the tip about the video sessions on-line. I'm wondering once I purchase those if I can keep them forever? Do you know?
YES! I've missed 2 of our Esther sessions & will be downloading them. So happy to get to watch them over & over if I want.
