Dh told me today he likes the name Athena. In greek mythology she was the goddess of wisdom, she was Zeus's daughter. I don't hate it, but I' not sure if I like it. I can't think  of any horrible nicknames that anyone would call her.

NMS. I know a couple of Minerva's (it's a somewhat common name in PR & the DR) and it still strikes me as a little weird when I hear it. I put Athena in the same camp.

NMS.  I'm not a fan of greek mythology names.  I had a super white trashy co-irker a few years ago who named her daughter Athena because she thought it made her sound smart. This was the dumbest lady I've ever known....  bad correlation to the name Athena.   Sorry.

It's NMS, but I think I like it.  It might be a hard name to carry as a little girl, but I think it would be nice for a teen/adult.

I like the name.  However, the only Athena's I've met are Greek or of Greek heritage.
