If you could ![]()
For me, it would def be my hours. I wish I had a "normal" schedule ... 8-5, 7-4 etc. I feel like by the time I get home at 8 on two nights out the week and 6pm on the rest of the nights ... I dont have much quality time with DD and DH. Maybe in the future.
Re: What would you change about your job?
*Number of hours I work. Most of the year I could easily get the same amount of work done if I worked 3-4 days per week instead of 5. I could also easily work from home, but that is not an option.
*Pay/vacation - we had to take pay cuts this year so I am making even less money for a job that I think is pretty underpaid to begin with. We also have to take 2 weeks of furlough and are no longer accruing vacation and sick days. Any time I take off until the end of the year is unpaid.
*My job can be very boring and not challenging. The only real challenging part is dealing with my boss...ugh.
The upside to my job is that it is much less stressful and the hours are better than my last job which is nice now that I have a LO. I guess its just a trade off.
I wish my job was more predictable. I work in consulting, which is very deadline and client driven. So there are weeks where it's late nights and weekends, and then there are weeks where I can barely fill a full day with work. I wish it would just even out to a more reasonable schedule.
Oh, and I also wish they would realize that I can do most of my work from home.

Ideally, I'd like one day off a week, to spend half of it with DS and half of it by myself. ?
But, that wouldn't really work, to be honest. ?I need to be in the office 5 days a week. ?Eventually, I may talk to my firm about a reduced billable goal, but I'd still have to be there every day to really be effective.
But like you said, if I could....?
