I just wanted to add to all the encouragement from your post earlier. PLEASE don't quit. I promise you that it will get better and you will grow to love BF. Hopefully this advice will help a little bit, but I def. think that you should call La Leche League regardless. They helped me so much.

I cried for what felt like weeks.... BF was just so painful and I felt like I had zero support and no one understood. The lactation consultant at the hospital was not helpful at all. I finally called a lactation consultant with La Leche League and among many other pieces of great advice, she told me to point my nipple towards DS's nose and that would make him open up very wide and also make sure that he took the whole bottom portion of my areola in his mouth. This was LIFE CHANGING advice for me. The LC at the hospital told me to rub my nipple on his lip to get him to open up... which NEVER worked and his latch was always very painful. 

I have given this advice to all of my friends who have BF or tried to since and they have also said that this advice made a world of difference. It might be harder to understand in writing than if you saw someone do it, but hopefully it helps. I wish you could just fast forward to when it gets easy because you will be so happy that you stuck it out.
