Clicky poll: ice cream!

Because we are sharing a bowl of ice cream right now (southern blackberry cobbler with caramel on top, yum!) and I had to fight the urge to just take it and turn it into soup, I started to wonder if everyone does that.

What's your favourite ice cream of all time?  And what brand of ice cream do you prefer?

I'm not generally a fan of chunky things in my ice cream (impedes soup making), so I love dutch chocolate.  Or mint chocolate chip.  I do like tin roof, but I often will suck on the choc. covered peanuts and then spit them out into the bowl and when all the ice cream is done, I eat all the peanuts at once. 

I love Bluebell, but I honestly haven't tried too many other brands.  Ben & Jerry's is ok, I just don't go for all their flavours.

Ice cream soup=when you take your spoon and stir the ice cream until it gets all melty and runny.  And good.

Cookies & Cream is my all time fav.  The brand doesn't matter.

But I am a HUGE fan of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, Chubby Hubby and Dublin Mudslide.

I'm a soup maker.  The sooner the better.  I'm not really an ice cream fan normally, but I would have to say Haagen Daas or however you spell it, or Ben and Jerry's are my two store bought faves.  Otherwise I just prefer gelato instead of ice cream.  However, since I have been pregnant, ice cream is all I have wanted, and any form of it is fine by me!  (I don't really care for Amy's though.)

I make soup at the end so that I can have a little of both..."whole" ice cream and "soup" ice cream.

I LOVE ice cream...and the chunkier the better.  NOT a fan of plain chocolate but I do like plain vanilla at times.  Not a fan of the fruit-flavored ice creams...I eat a lot of fresh fruit every day to be healthy so if I'm gonna indulge in some fat & calories, I want it to be fruit-free!!  Some faves - cookies & cream, moose tracks, cookie dough, tin roof.  I love Bluebell but will eat other brands too. 

Okay, now I need me some ice cream!!

cookies and cream is my fav flavor. although i have to say i am a HUGE fan of macaroni grill vanilla ice cream. i had no idea it was sooooo good. it come with the kid's meal so i just learned of this somewhat recently, like in the last 6 months.

i am a eat it whole kinda gal, i do not like it once it turns soupy.

I'm pretty much an equal opportunity ice cream flavor lover, although if I were forced to eat only one for the rest of my life, it would definitely be vanilla.

As for brand, there aren't many I like any more.  I hate anything with gums and stuff in it (like carageenan and guar gum), and almost all ice creams contain those anymore.  I used to like Breyer's, but then they went and added gum.  Bummer.  So now I'm pretty much a Haagen Dazs girl.  I'm always on the lookout for a new gum-free ice cream, though.  Sometimes small local creameries fit that bill.

GASP!  Blaspheme, I cry, blaspheme!  I heart Amy's Mexican Vanilla with ginger snaps or strawberries.  YUM-O!

PSA: Ben & Jerry's has mini-cups now w/ built-in spoons!  (I had Cherry arcia today.)

My favorite ice cream is by far Tillamook, even though you can't get it down here.  After that, Haagen Daaz and then B&J.  Flavors start w/ mint chocolate chip, but Ben & Jerry's Half Baked is kinda the best flavor ever and I really likw BlueBell's Moolenium Crunch..

I love either mint chocolate chip or cookies and cream.  Mmmm...bad idea answering this question first thing in the morning when I'm hungry.

Just plain ol' chocolate ice cream is my fave.  And I definitely make a soup.... my whole family did this, that's where I got it from but I eat half of it then make soup.  Yummmmmm!
