All Day w/ No Bottle!

He did it! Bfast was a little of a struggle but he ate all of but one oz. Then for the afternoon milk he held the cup and drank while DC teacher held him.

Then tonight I offered milk at dinner. He drank a little but not much. So after we got home from the pool I knew he was prob a little hungry so I held him and he held the cup and drank it all!!!!!

I am so proud. It just might happen ;) I know some dont agree Im pulling the bottle so early but how in the world is he supposed to learn if I dont do it sooner or later. He drank just as much milk today out of the sippy that he normally does out of the bottle.

I will keep up the evening bottle for another week and try to move it up an hr each week till he is having it all at dinner. But for today he did it!!!!

Yay!!!

  • Yea!!!!  Good job.  I pulled BabyHill's bottles at 11 months.  I got tired of fighting with him.  As long as it's good for you and him and he's getting all the stuff he needs, who cares!

  • Go AT!!!!!  I agree, as long as he's getting enough milk, who cares what he drinks from?  No more washing bottles!

  • GREAT!!! We are working hard on sippy cups & I think J is finally catching on. He's only drinking water out of it, but I'm hoping it goes as well when we switch over to cow's milk. Can't believe we'll be making that transition so soon! Where did my baby go??? :(
