I recomeend that you check out www.zagbag.com. They have many bags in the line that work as diaper bags. You can pic the fabrics that your bag is designed with. You can even order a matching changing pad!
I have a skip hop bag that i bought when I was pg. with ju...I never really carry it unless I am traveling.
I have a petunia picklebottom bag that I ..hate.
I don't like diaper bags, but you should watch mamabargains and babysteals, b/c they keep having fluerville ones that are SUPER cute- I would want one, but I just don't like diaper bags.
I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my Kalencom messenger bag. People are always shocked it's a diaper bag.
I'm just now outgrowing it, because I don't need that much crap anymore, but for a toddler and newborn, it would be great. LOVE that it's a messenger, which keeps your hands free.
Quality? Not so great, (I just spent $10 to have the straps resewn for the second time in two years) but I found mine new on ebay for $17 -- retail is like $60-70.
I did a quick google. This is the bag in orange; they have lots of solids and fun patterns too.
BTW, I bought six, (yes SIX) different diaper bags when I had Alec -- a friend gave me one as a gift, and could only find them online and wanted to see/feel them, so I just returned the other five.
This is the bag I got -- great deal. I paid like $70 two years ago. Very cute and un diaper bag-ish! I just got tired of it, but for $15 you can't go wrong!
Skip Hop City Chic. I looove this bag. It is big enough for 2, and it is the closest purse looking bag that is functional without looking too mommyish. I have columbus circle print. Hooks onto your stroller too.
Re: Fun diaper bags?
loveLOVElove my Fleurville Re-Run.
It's adorable and it's made out of recycled water bottles, so it's like doing a favor to the environment by buying one.

I love my skip hop bag, it is big enough for two kids (even when one is potty training and I need extra cothes), and is a super cute pattern.
I use a JJ cole small bag for short trips.
