  • The JC Arboretum is really nice - and it has some urban tracks leading down the same road...  I go there a lot.

Also pullen park is great - they have the train, flowers and the carosel makes for some AWESOME photo ops!

If you come this way, I would love to shoot with you - I know I could learn a GAZILLION things from you!!! (plus, i would love to see your new camera!!!)

  • Yates Mill is an awesome place for pictures! They have a pond, the mill/waterfall area, older buildings/wagons and a huge field. The little museum/park building has a big beautiful wooden front porch with rocking chairs. https://www.wakegov.com/locations/parks/yatesmill.htm

ETA: I just rememberd this: Its a bio the NC Knotties came up with, maybe this would help!

  • Although not a park have you checked out American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham?
  • I second the yates mill location too!
  • Thanks so much, going to check them out!?

Is Pullen park not undergoing construction?

    ?

Emilee - Where did you see I got a new camera? :O ?

  • I got a new camera, I wonder if she mixed us up?

    What did you get? :)?

  • I thought I saw someone say that on FB - on your birthday.... maybe I am mixed up....

I know you did Speed - that was the 300 right or did you get another new toy?

  • Pullen Park is awesome!! We had our engagement photos there, and were just there again last week, it is not under construction until next year.It has a huge lake with a beautiful bridge, tons of flowers, and grassy areas, an old timey carousel and a train caboose, etc. Also, down the road a bit is Modecai Park, with several old historic houses that would be great for photos.

Also-did you and MrsG finalize anything for the Aug 29 shoot? I haven't heard anything?

I got D300 back in March I think?

  • I definitely argree with Pullen, Yates and the Arboretum. I took a bunch of pictures of Olivia last month at the Arboretum and the flowers were all blooming. They're on my FB if you wanted to get an idea. We only did a small part of the Arboretum because Olivia was not in the best of moods.
