back from HSG... =(

not great news.... nothing the MD did could get the catheter to pass through my cervix so tomorrow I have to go in for a procedure to have my cervix dialated (not fun, will be under partial sedation)... and then Friday they will attempt to re-peat the HSG....

what a mess.... now I am cramping from all the "jabbing" on my cervix and worried....

she said my cervix looked perfect from her side, but she couldn't not find any opening to get it through.... obviously that is a problem for conception as well...

Ughhh.... i am sad, frustrated, nervous...but mostly scared now =(

Re: back from HSG... =(

  • I'm SO sorry, but you'll still get those answers!  It took a long time for my OB to get the catheter to go in there too.  I thought I was finally done with the horrible pain, and he said he had to do it all over again.  I sympathize!  Partial sedation may actually be a good thing, and at least you'll get the information that you need to determine your next step.  I'll really be thinking of you, I promise.  Many hugs!!! :)

  • Oh, and consider it good practice for labor.  That's what I tried telling myself, and it was true! Wink

  • Well I am sorry the procedure didn't work :( But hopefully the sedation will make it easier on you.
  • I'm sorry--that is no fun. :( Big hugs and prayers for you. It will be ok.

  • I agree with Alchris - at least you're getting answers.  It'd be nice if they were written on paper as opposed to locked up in your lady bits.  Get a heating pad and a glass of wine.

    ::hugs::

  • No Boo, I'm sorry Crying I hope Friday is more enlightening.
  • I'm so sorry.

I hope you will get more answers...in the meantime, I'll just keep praying.

  • Oh, Em. That really sucks. Sorry you're in pain and don't have much to show for it yet. You're in my thoughts and prayers, buddy!
  • Yikes, sorry....hope the next one goes much much better for you!

  • Sorry you had to go through all that. I hope you're able to get some answers tomorrow.
  • Crap! I'm so sorry. I know it sucks and it's so frustrating, but at least you're heading in the right direction and will get some answers soon.

Also, at least under some sedation it won't suck nearly as much.

I'll certainly be keeping you in my thoughts.

  • Oh no. Hang in there. You'll get answers soon.

  • I'm so sorry!! I had a similar situation with mine-though they were finally able to get it through. It was a horrible, painful experience and I'm sorry you had to go through it. The cervical stenosis ultimately ended up being my issue (after fixing annovulation with clomid). If you want to chat with me about it...message me on fb. Good luck tomorrow and get the good drugs!! Wink
