NBR- My crazy MIL!

Okay, no one probably cares, but my MIL is crazy and cracks me up 1/2 the time (she annoys me the other half)....

So MIL tells DH last night that she thinks she's now allergic to chicken... she had chicken several times over the weekend and turkey once and she's been having a hard time breathing and has been wheezing so she thinks she's all of a sudden allergic to poultry. (Started out just chicken, now she's moved on to all poultry).

DH asks her when the last time she used her (daily!) inhaler for her asthma.  She replies with yesterday.  Then he asks her about before that... 3 weeks ago!  He told her to keep eating chicken and use her inhaler like she's supposed to.

Re: NBR- My crazy MIL!

  • I think i know how you feel.  My MIL is the only (self diagnosed) "agoraphobic" (sp?) that can spend all effin day at Walmart...

Oh, you too?  My DH commented once that we won't know when to actually take her to the hospital because she's cried wolf so many times.  It's mind-boggling.  Her hair was way shorter than mine is now and she said it was so heavy it was giving her headaches (at the time mine was past my shoulders).  Uh huh.

Here's something horrible: they recently lost their dog (he was 13 years old and very sick) and my FIL remarked "Well, at least we won't have to hear about Bingo's ass at dinner now."  My MIL didn't speak to him for two weeks, which was more a blessing than a curse, hee.  ;)

  • Looks like we all have issues with our MIL. Mine is a true hypochondrac and it drives me crazy!!!
